FLOC Boycott Information

Mt. Olive Pickle Company was the target of a consumer boycott called by the Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC), a labor union based in Toledo, OH. FLOC called the boycott in its efforts to organize North Carolina migrant farm workers, who are employees of independent farmers.

The boycott was called March 17, 1999. It ended September 16, 2004 when FLOC and the North Carolina Growers Association signed a labor agreement, and FLOC and Mt. Olive signed a separate agreement ending the boycott.
