OLIVE—Mt. Olive Pickle Company's No Sugar Added Bread & Butter Chips and No Sugar
Added Bread & Butter Stuffers have a new label!
The distinctive
yellow and blue label, with the familiar black Mt. Olive logo,
is designed to help consumers more easily find these items on
the grocery shelf.
The departure
from Mt. Olive’s traditional yellow and green label is the
first in several years.
“The No Sugar
Added items are unique on the market, and we felt the labeling
should reflect that,” says Bobby Frye, executive vice president of sales
& marketing. “We wanted this item to really stand out on
the grocery shelf.”
Mt.
Olive is the first pickle company to offer a No Sugar Added
product. The bread & butter items feature the no calorie
sweetener Splenda ®.
Splenda
® brand sweetener, also known as sucralose, is not a
carbohydrate, and it has been shown in studies to have no effect
on blood glucose control or insulin levels. In addition, SPLENDA
® is free from the unpleasant aftertaste often associated with
other artificial sweeteners. SPLENDA ® is a no calorie
sweetener made from sugar, so it tastes like sugar.
