Those attending the 2007 Pickle Drop donated 1,180 pounds of canned food and other items to benefit the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Donors received a chance to win door prizes from the Mt. Olive Pickle Company gift shop. The grand prize was a pickle similar to the one that is dropped.

The Harmony Boys, Pickle Drop favorites, get the festivities started with live music. Their performance ends with "The Pickle Polka" just a few minutes before the pickle is dropped. Other highlights of the evening include free refreshments - hot chocolate, cookies, hot apple cider, and, of course, Mt. Olive Kosher Dills.
