Pick-L-Nic Time July 4 July Fourth is a great time for picnics. Both are greatly enhanced by Mt. Olive Pickles. Here in Mount Olive, the Mount Olive Exchange Club hosts July 4th activities at Westbrook Park. The festivities get underway at 4:30 p.m. with a children’s bicycle parade. Prizes are awarded for the best decorated bikes. Free hot dogs (with Mt. Olive Pickle relish, of course) and other concessions -- including big Mt. Olive Kosher Dills -- are available throughout the celebration. Games and activities for children are offered, including a few of the traditionally messy: egg tosses and greasy pole climbs. Kids and adults alike play Bingo for prizes that include jars of pickles, as well as Mt. Olive Pickle hats and T-shirts. Local entertainment performs in the park throughout the afternoon. Top
