  1. Denise Helton

My husband is the dill pickle lover in the house. He loves them on his burgers and peanut butter pickle sandwiches. At the grocery I noticed the Mt Olive Simply Pickles and they looked very appealing. I tried one when I got home to see how they tasted and could not believe how good they were! They are so crisp and cut just at the right thickness! Great pickles! I will not buy another brand again! Thanks!

  2. Jimmy Richie

Taste is just not there, width is a bit thick, I am not satisfied with the simply pickles.

  3. Daniel Berres

I love these they are the best burger pickle there is.

  4. Lolene

Cannot eat preservatives, so they are perfect for me. Not only do they taste good, they are good for me. Now I need to find a store that still sells them.

  5. Vicki

Best pickles ever! Love them. Remind me of what Wendy’s is using on their burgers now.

  6. Jennifer Durham

The Simply Pickles hamburger dill chips have become a favorite snack. I love the thickness and crunchy. They seem less salty than the original style chips and have a bright, almost citrus note.

So far, I’ve only found the dill chips and spears in local stores. Hoping they offer more variety in time. Would like to try this line in a baby dill or with jalapeño.

We have always purchased Mt. Olive hamburger dill pickles – my husband picked up the Simply Pickles hamburger dill – they are not the same – don’t like them at all! They are too thick and taste like a bread and butter pickle. We wasted our money. I hope the stores has the other kind!

  8. Terri Socha

We are ones who like a simple dill pickle. We’ve always bought your basic hamburger dill pickle. I saw these yesterday and thought they sounded appealing but once we tasted them today we just weren’t happy with this choice. Although the pickle is crisp and light it just isn’t what we wanted so we’ll pass and go back to store to get the ones we always do. I’ll chop these up and use them in chicken salad later this week.

Terri, all of our Kosher Dill items are garlic-flavored, while our plain Dills, like the Hamburger Dill Chips, are dill flavored with no garlic. My guess is that’s the difference you taste.

  9. Peggy

Wonderful pickles! I like that they have “simple ingredients”. I munch on them every day for a quick snack. KETO friendly!

  10. CJ

You all make the best Kosher Dill Hamburger pickles on the planet, but this new recipe is disgusting. It reminds me of the flavor on the bread and butter pickles, which I don’t like. I’m going back to your original flavor.

Need to make a Simply Pickles version of your Hamburger Dill Chips . There are already a lot of brands making preservative free dill chips that are garlicky. While the kosher dills taste good on some kinds of deli sandwiches, these are not what you want on a classic burger.

    • Lynn.Williams

Hey S.J., our Simply Pickles Kosher Hamburger Dill Chips do contain garlic (hence the word “kosher” in the name). The garlic flavoring isn’t listed separately on the ingredient list – it’s included with the natural flavors. But you should certainly be able to taste the garlic when you eat them. If that’s not the case you may have an off jar, and we ask that you either call us at 800-672-5041 (8-5 weekdays EST) or complete our online product concerns form so we can properly follow up with you.

  12. Franklin Stowe

I love the Mt. Olive brand of Simply bread and butter type. They were not crisp at all, did not like them.

    • Lynn.Williams

Franklin, sounds like you encountered a bad jar, and we apologize! These are normally crisp and crunchy like the Simply Bread & Butter Chips. If you haven’t already, please either call us at 800.672.5041 or complete our online product concerns form to that we can properly follow up with you. https://www.mtolivepickles.com/contact-us/concerns-product-feedback/ Thanks for buying Mt. Olive, and thanks for letting us know.

Simply aweful! Bought 2 jars a jewel in Bloomington Il. Chips were soggy and falling apart. Flavor was worse. Use extreme caution if you choose to buy this product.

    • Lynn.Williams

Scott, this isn’t typical of our usual good quality, and we apologize. Completely in love with these pickles. I’m a VERY strict Claussen lover, but i tried these one day cause my daughter prefers your regular dill hamburger pickles over all. So i gave these a try. I do understand what a few reviewers are saying, the first bite is usually weirdly sweet. I DO NOT like sweet pickles. However, it’s not sweet, just a weird first bite. It’s my new favorite pickle. It’s a thicker pickle and i can not express enough the thick cut is a game changer for me. It’s extremely CRISPY once in the fridge, it has a great saltiness to it and an extremely unique flavor. I literally look forward to putting these on everything i can, especially my turkey burgers!

I saw these in our local Publix. We avoid overly processed foods laden with preservatives and artificial flavors. We have always been Mt. Olive purchasers whether it be pickles, jalapenos or relish. I was excited to see this new line of products and quickly bought them and brought them home. Wow! These have become my favorite pickles. I agree with several reviewers on the thickness, its perfect. I do not like thin pickles that are flimsy and limp. We have started going through a pint sized jar a week. We even keep an extra jar in the pantry just in case we run out before our weekly trip to the grocery. I have even started saving the juice to use in various recipes. We just poured a jar full of juice into our boiled peanuts while they were cooking. I am thinking about using the juice for a brine for chicken thighs. I plan on breading them and putting them on a sandwich! Thank you for these pickles!
I have only one issue and it has to do with the natural flavors. This makes me assume you employed a flavorist aka flavor chemist or company. Why use “natural” flavors at all? Mother nature provides all we need to flavor our food. Natural flavors no longer come from nature, they used to, but alas they now can and frequently do come from chemicals. There is not a nationally available brand that I can find that does not contain the fourth most common ingredient in processed food. You have a fantastic product and you made great strides but stand apart and above all the rest!

    • Lynn.Williams

Blake, we are dill-lighted you enjoy our Simply Pickles! Our natural flavors are actually proprietary flavoring oils that include things like garlic. We use the oils to ensure consistent flavor and quality in every jar and across our product line.
