Cheese cubes (cheddar, Colby Jack, etc.)
Cheese wedges (Parmesan, Asiago, or any firm cheese)
Fresh mozzarella balls
Cherry tomatoes
Salami (folded or ribboned on skewers)
Calabrese slices (also skewered)
Mixed nuts (place on the bottom of each jar)
Small bamboo skewers or cocktail sticks
Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
8–12 small glass jars (4–8 oz size works best)
Instructions
- Prepare a variety of skewers for texture and color. Make each skewer 2–4 inches long so it fits nicely inside the jar.
- Build each jar in this order: Add 2–3 tablespoons of mixed nuts to the bottom of each jar for crunch and stability.
- Middle layer should be your pickled items.
- For the top layer, insert 3–5 of your prepared skewers upright in each jar. Mix and match meat, cheese, mozzarella/tomato, and pickled skewer types to make each jar visually fun.
- Final touch: Tuck a fresh rosemary sprig into each jar for aroma and a festive, tree-like garnish.
- Arrange the jars on a tray, board, or tiered stand. They’re ready to hand out as personal appetizers, no crowding around a charcuterie board needed!
- Make jars up to 12 hours in advance; refrigerate and add rosemary right before serving.
