Instructions
- Place your charcuterie board or large cutting board on a flat surface.
- Cut a piece of parchment paper roughly the height of your board.
- Fold it lightly in half (lengthwise), then cut out half of a Christmas tree shape so that when unfolded, you have a symmetrical parchment tree.
- Lay the parchment tree centered on the board—this will help keep your design clean and shaped correctly.
- For the top (tree top tip): Spoon a small mound of chopped pickles or Mt. Olive Relish at the very top to form the pointed tip of the tree.
- For the upper sections: Add a layer of long cheese wedges pointing outward like branches.
- Below that, place a row of pickle slices and a small cluster of folded cured meats.
- Add a few pepperoncini and additional cheese slices to widen the tree.
- For the middle layer, create a thick band using: A row of pickles (whole or halved), another row of folded cured meats, and (optional) a line of mozzarella pearls or goat cheese rolled into small balls.
- For the lower sections: Fill in with a mix of cheddar cubes, more pepperoncini, cheese sticks or shaved cheese, pickles chips, spears or whole mini pickles like petite dills.
- For the tree trunk: Arrange crackers or breadsticks at the bottom center to form a simple trunk.
- Shape and adjust: Step back and check the edges of the tree. Add small pieces of cheese, pickles, or peppers to round out the silhouette. Remove any exposed parchment that might stick out beyond the food.
- Serve & enjoy! Present the board as a show-stopping holiday appetizer.
