Pack a glass jar with banana peppers, sliced onions, and a flavorful, sweet mustard and celery seed brine. The result is Mt. Olive’s latest Product Spotlight: Sweet Salad Peppers

With just a touch of peppery heat, your taste buds aren’t overpowered. Instead, there’s a subtle burn that doesn’t last. Fans of bread and butter pickles take note. These are just as tasty with the perfect meld of sugar, mustard, and celery.

A Pepper Mixture That's Tangy, Soft, and Full of Flavor

We’re fans of topping sandwiches with these pepper and onion rings. In fact, we have many happy customers raving over how much this mix tastes like the pepper rings Blimpies uses on its grinders.

Don’t expect a crunch. Sweet Salad Peppers are softer than pickles, allowing the crunch of other ingredients, such as cucumbers or lettuce, to stand out.

Mt. Olive's mix of banana peppers and sliced onions complements a wide range of other ingredients. They become a popular addition to many of our favorite recipes.

Recipes

As we enjoy the sweet, mild tang of Mt. Olive Sweet Salad Peppers, we've been using them as a substitute for the other peppers. Here are three of our favorite ways to use them.

Zesty Colorful Bean Salad: Beans contain many vitamins and minerals, including fiber and iron. We love to keep this salad on hand for quick lunches and high-protein snacks. Swapping Mt. Olive Sweet and Hot Peppers for the salad peppers reduces the heat level a bit.

Citrus Chicken: This quick and easy recipe makes dinner or lunch ready in little time. Marinate chicken breasts or even thighs in a citrus-forward brine using orange juice and the brine. Our recipe recommends baking, but feel free to grill, broil, or pan-sear the chicken until the inner temperature reaches 165°F.

Egg & Seafood Salad: This tasty salad comes from Mama Dip's Family Cookbook. The savory salad pairs eggs with crabmeat and a variety of vegetables, including black olives and diced bell pepper. Add saltines for a satisfying crunch.
