Ingredients

---Parmesan Peppercorn Dipping Sauce---
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp cracked black peppercorns
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/2 cup grated parmesan

---Fried Banana Peppers---
48 oz Mt Olive Hot Banana Pepper Rings
1.75 cups flour
2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp dried oregano
1 Tbsp dried basil
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Canola oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. ---Parmesan Peppercorn Dipping Sauce---
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients until well-combined. Chill until ready for use.
  3. ---Fried Banana Peppers---
  4. In a Dutch oven or pot, heat about 1-inch of canola oil to 370ºF.
  5. In a large bowl storage bag, add flour, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well-combined. Add peppers then toss until evenly coated.
  6. Working in small batches (about a handful), fry peppers in oil until golden brown (about 1.5-2 mins). Remove from oil with strainer spoon, then transfer to paper towel-lined tray to drain.
  7. Repeat with remaining peppers.
  8. Serve immediately with Parmesan Peppercorn Dipping Sauce.
