Ingredients
---FOR THE JALAPENO BISCUITS---
1/2 cup salted butter + more for brushing biscuits
1.5 cups AP flour + more for dusting
1.75 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
3 Tbsp Mt. Olive Jalapeno Slices, finely minced + more whole slices for topping biscuits
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tsp honey
Fried chicken, cooked (frozen or fresh)
Honey butter, for garnish
---FOR THE HONEY BUTTER---
1/2 stick salted butter, room temperature
1/4 cup honey, or to taste
Instructions
- ---FOR THE JALAPENO BISCUITS---
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Cut butter into 1/2" cubes and place in the freezer for 10-15 mins.
- Add flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder to a food processor then pulse till well-integrated. Add chilled butter and pulse until large crumbs form.
- Transfer mixture to a large bowl. Stir in 3 Tbsp minced jalapenos until combined. Drizzle buttermilk and honey in while tossing with a fork to combine. Lightly knead until a shaggy dough forms.
- On a floured surface, form dough into a 1" thick square. Cut dough into 4 equal pieces then stack pieces into layers. Press the layers down then roll out into a 1" thick rectangle and cut into about 2” x 2” squares.
- Transfer biscuits to parchment lined baking sheet and place in freezer for about 15 minutes.
- Remove biscuits from the freezer and brush with melted butter, then top with 2 or 3 jalapeño slices.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes.
- Serve topped with fried chicken bites and honey butter.

- In a medium bowl, whip butter and honey with electric hand mixer for 2-3 mins or until fluffy.
