Plant Manager. This individual will plan and direct the production activities directly and/or indirectly through subordinate Supervisors. The individual will formulate and recommend manufacturing policies and programs. He or she is accountable for results in terms of costs, budgets, methods, safety, quantity and quality of production, operations and personnel.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or management required. Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and loss reduction. Background in food manufacturing preferred. Ability to prioritize work and execute multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong computer knowledge and good interpersonal skills needed. Successful candidates will have at least 15 years of experience in a dynamic, high speed, continuous production environment. Strong work knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations (Federal, State, EEOC, FDA, OSHA, etc.). Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

Master Production Planner. Reporting to the Purchasing & Production Planning Director, this individual will be responsible for developing the master production schedule for all shifts production manufactured at the main plant, Distribution Center production locations and co-packer locations to satisfy customer demand and co pack needs while carrying minimum effective inventory. The individual is also responsible for providing a daily, weekly, and monthly production plan consistent with the plant capacity and customer requirements. Strong collaboration with Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain will be critical to meeting business goals.
Primary responsibilities include – create a rolling 12-month Master Production Schedule for designated production lines and products including all products manufactured at the main plant, Distribution Center production lines and outside co-packer locations. Issue shop orders for main plant and distribution center production locations. Manage the production capacity, forecasts, safety stock requirements, and other supply chain constraints to maintain adequate levels of inventory to service customer demand. Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times. Utilize the ERP system to streamline and automate the scheduling process. Work with the operations management to ensure capacities are accurately represented in the system. Work with operations management to ensure proper balance of service, inventory, and costs on the produced items. Maintain finished goods inventory for designated products at target levels to ensure high service levels, i.e. product availability. Ensure coordination with Operations to execute Production Plan on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Schedule. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including metrics for production performance to the requested production schedule. Timely reporting of key metrics. Host and support daily production meetings to plan production, review performance against schedule, and develop inventory strategy.
Other responsibilities include – driving own or company vehicle in performance of some job duties. May represent company at outside meetings and events. Participate in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate. Receive written and verbal instructions on the above job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a BA/BS in Business Administration, Food Science or Supply Chain Management; MBA preferred. 3-5 years working as a Production Planner/Scheduler in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in a food manufacturing plant. Excellent experience using MRP / ERP systems. Good ability to read, speak and communicate in English across all levels of the organization. Able to multi-task and work with multiple interruptions. Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing scheduling, demand, and replenishment processes. Proficient in MS Office Suite, with intermediate knowledge of Excel including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate across all levels of the organization. Ability to prioritize and follow-through to achieve results and meet deadlines to meet the needs of the business. Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. Excellent analytical, organizational and technical skills. Ability to forecast, act quickly and accurately. Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. May be required to work long hours and weekends.

Production Planner. Reporting to the Master Production Scheduler, this individual will work with the Master Production Planner to create and publish production schedules for all products manufactured at the main plant, Distribution Center production locations and co-packer locations. The individual will also monitor material inventories, track progress of production and reviews factors that affect schedules and makes necessary modifications to schedules.
Primary responsibilities include – schedule production lines based on products to be produced to cover sales orders, co-pack needs and the movement of work force on a daily and/or weekly basis. Work with Crop Procurement Manager to efficiently utilize the fresh crop intake on a daily/weekly basis; work with Materials Buyer to ensure materials needed to support production schedule are available; keep the plant running efficiently. Work with Accounting on new products to be produced and maintains accurate inventories. Utilize Production Planning module to assist Master Production Planner in managing Plant capacity. Create and publish the schedule to Production Supervisors to ensure production needs are met. Maintain the Production Planning System at the direction of the Master Production Planner. Coordinate daily sales orders, incoming raw material, and inventories to ensure customer satisfaction.

Excellent working knowledge of ERP systems and Production Planning, Material Management, and Inventory Management. Excellent analytical, organizational and technical skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and Internet. Ability to forecast, act quickly and accurately. Good communication skills, written and verbal. May be required to work long hours and weekends.
